"Digital Resources"
💖 📖 ✍ ðŸ’– ðŸŽ¨ ðŸ–Œ ðŸ’–

Welcome to my blog! On this page I list various types of Digital Resources creative folks might find useful. It will be edited as I discover/learn about additional resources. If I have a little first hand knowledge/experience about a resource, I'll share and likely in a post and then add the link to the post here applicably. As well, if I come across a good review about a program, I'll add the link to the review too with its respective program.

As for myself, I like being able to use and play around with a number of digital editing programs/software, especially when it comes to different features, such as filters and effects. I've been known to many times use more than one program for a single piece of work.

Online editing programs are particularly great because one doesn't need to download it to install on their computer to take up additional memory. But of course, on the flip side, one has to be online to use the program. So it's just a matter of working with how a program is usable.

Personally, I use Adobe Photoshop the majority of the time and have since I began creating digitally in 2005. I love Photoshop. It is a great program but... it is very pricey. If it wasn't given to me as a gift, I wouldn't be having it myself to work with.

As for images/photos, there are "free to use" and "public domain" images/photos available online. However, "free to use" doesn't always mean the same as "public domain". Simply stated, "public domain" images come with NO STRINGS ATTACHED. Whereas, "free to use" images MAY or MAY NOT have stipulations and if "free to use" images come with certain requirements stipulated, it is not only important to follow them but it's being respectful in doing so.

If someone is good enough to allow others to use their images and/or their work, then the very least one using them can do, is to comply with the giving party's wishes. Giving applicable credit whenever possible is never a bad thing, but a good, respectful act that also displays a showing of appreciation and thankfulness and such costs nothing to do and requires little time or effort. Personally, I try to make it a point to give credit whenever possible, even with "public domain" images.
